S.C.O.R.E.D™ is a Supplier Construction Outreach Resource Encouraging Diversity

The S.C.O.R.E.D.™  system is an on-demand network that provides ubiquitous and convenient services to consumers by way of Cloud Computing technology. The network database includes registered contractors eligible to work on an owner’s construction project. This tool, implemented at the request of healthcare systems, local, state and federal municipalities as well as educational institutions, can be used by any construction project owner who wishes to encourage the inclusion of diverse contractors when undertaking major construction projects.

Prior to becoming a registered contractor in the data base, each contractor has to meet a set of objective criteria that establishes their relevant experience for a particular construction project.  These criteria  are established by the project owner.  Every contractor must complete the criteria application electronically  through the S.C.O.R.E.D.™  system.  The system can be accessed through Schooner's website. All information and data contained in the application is held in strict confidence by Schooner Consulting.

Schooner Consulting's team of specialists are available by telephone and/or email to answer questions and resolve issues that may arise during the application process. Upon receipt, the criteria application is then reviewed, analyzed, approved or rejected depending on whether the applicant has adequately met the criteria. Contractors are not able to see any details of any other contractor application.

Once the review process is concluded, the name of the contractor is posted on an Electronic Bulletin Board that lists all the registered contractors. This process only registers a list of eligible contractors and promotes transparency in that the contractor's certifications such as MBE, WBE, local residence and key specialties are specified for each contractor on the Electronic Bulletin Board.  The Bulletin Board is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.  All contractors have the ability to review the Bulletin Board to ascertain whether or not their application has been approved.  This system facilitates great communication among all contractors registered on the S.C.O.R.E.D.™ system.
